Anica Zupanec Sodnik was a Slovenian academic painter. She was born in 1892 in Ljubljana. She studied painting at the academy of Munich, at the Art and Craft School in Prague and at the international academy of Florence, where she also studied sculpture. She developed her style with translucent plenary lighting and color shades. Impressionism was close to her, but she remained essentially true to realism. Later, she followed post-impressionism.
