Boris Zaplatil is a Slovenian academic painter. He was born in 1957 in Ljubljana. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts with professor Gnamuš. He continued his studies with painting as his specialty. He was a member of the Generation 82, which brought in many highlighted innovations and approaches. Since 1979 he has had 73 solo exhibitions, participated in 130 group exhibitions and attended 44 fine art colonies. He received 11 awards for his work. He lives and works as an independent artist in Ljubljana.
