Ferdo Mayer was a Slovenian academic painter of figural compositions. He was born in 1927 in Maribor. He studied drawings, graphic arts and oil painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. After that he also completed a specialty for monumental painting. He taught as a drawing professor and was employed as an art teacher. He died in 1994 in Ljubljana.
