Tomaž Kržišnik is a Slovenian academic painter and illustrator. He was born in 1943 in Žiri. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he obtained a master's degree in book illustration. He is recognized for his drawings, graphics and illustrations. As a full professor he taught visual communication at ALUO. He received the Prešeren Fund Award, the Plečnik Prize and the Grohar Prize for Lifetime Achievement. He lives and creates in Žiri.
