Zvest Apollonio was a Slovenian academic painter, graphic artist and scenographer. He was born in 1935 in Bertoki. He studied painting, sculpture and graphics with professors Jakac, Debenjak, Pregelj and Stupica. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where he studied painting as his speciality with professor Stupica. He acted as a freelance artist. He was also a graphic professor, head of the graphic department and a vice-dean at AFA. He received the Prešeren award for painting, the honorary award of the Ars Histriae in Rovinj, the Prešeren Fund award for graphic and painting, the Jakopič Award for painting, ... He exhibited at more than 100 personal exhibitions. He died in 2009 in Bertoki.
